Chiropractic adjustments are the foundation of care at Brown Chiropractic Center, but they are not always the whole picture. For many patients and conditions, supporting therapies play an important role in reducing pain, controlling inflammation, and getting the most out of every adjustment.

Dr. Jeff Brown has built a practice with a broad range of therapeutic tools available so that the right combination of treatments can be applied to each patient's specific situation.

High Voltage Galvanism

High voltage galvanism is an electrical therapy that uses high voltage, low amperage electrical current applied to the affected area through surface electrodes. Despite the name, the treatment is comfortable and well tolerated by most patients. The electrical current penetrates deeply into the tissue, reducing inflammation, relieving muscle spasm, blocking pain signals, and promoting circulation to injured tissue.

High voltage galvanism is particularly effective for acute injuries where significant inflammation and muscle guarding are present. It is commonly used for auto accident injuries, acute back and neck pain, soft tissue trauma, and muscle strains where getting the inflammation under control quickly is a priority. By addressing the inflammatory component of an injury early, it helps create the conditions that allow chiropractic adjustments to be more effective and recovery to proceed more quickly.

How Specialized Therapies Fit Into Your Treatment Plan

No therapy at Brown Chiropractic Center is applied by default or as a routine add-on. Every recommendation is based on your examination findings, your diagnosis, and your response to care. If a specialized therapy is included in your treatment plan, Dr. Brown will explain what it is, why it is being recommended, and what you can expect from it.

The goal is always the same: get you better as quickly as possible using the most appropriate combination of treatments for your specific condition.
